About

jeff-profile.jpg As the Church Network Director for Exodus International, Jeff Buchanan assists pastors in dealing with one of the most crucial issues facing the global church today — homosexuality.  Jeff provides practical resources and training to church leaders seeking to help those personally affected by unwanted same-sex attraction. Since its inception in 1976, Exodus has become the largest Christian ministry dealing with the topic of homosexuality in the world.

Jeff’s own experience as a Christian who personally struggled with homosexual feelings allows him to better understand those who feel conflicted about and trapped by their same-sex attractions. Jeff’s life was transformed by the support of caring individuals at his local church and this life-changing encounter is one of the primary reasons he is passionate about equipping the Christian church to effectively deal with this issue.

Jeff currently oversees Exodus International’s efforts to educate, train and mentor church leaders to reach out to those living with unwanted same-sex attraction. He has spent more than ten years in church ministry and has been a mentor to countless men seeking freedom from homosexuality. In addition to his position at Exodus, he serves as an Associate Pastor at New Song Christian Fellowship in Tennessee.

Jeff has been interviewed by media outlets such as ABC’s Los Angeles television station KABC-TV, National Public Radio, Germany’s public broadcasting network ARD as well as bestselling author Rick Warren’s web site Pastors.com.  He holds a Masters Degree in Music from the University of Colorado in Boulder and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University. He and his wife, Angela, make their home in Nashville, Tennessee.
